Ahaha...I don't sleep anymoar.

Right. So. Last weekend and I hauled ourselves up to Katsucon to run around with some of our favorite crazy kids and had oodles and oodles of fun. Yayyayayyayyay.

FRIDAY
Umm, well, technically I never went to sleep between Thursday and Friday (fact - I only pull all-nighters for stupid shiz like finishing cosplay). Medusa wig and detail-y things needed to get finished, and Kaoru belts and stuff had to get done. Yeaa....and I had to research and write a paper before we left. AHAHAHHAHAHAHA. Yea. I'm awesome.

Righto - got to the convention center and surprised poor Nick with two more unexpected roommates in addition to and (the silly boy thought he was going to have an entire hotel room to himself for the weekend - FALSE). However, he was an awesome sport and put up with 4 people's worth of costumes which promptly exploded all over his hotel room.

Baru and I got into Nova and Hikaru as fast as we could (read: 2hours) and then proceeded to spend most of the rest of Friday standing in various lines (Registration, masquerade check in, craftmanship reg, McDonald's...). Yaaaay~ But we also got to meet lots of cool kids like Ali-Cat, Wayne from ACP (who is such a cutie in his Hiro costume), Tohma, Maggie, etc etc.

Saturday
Fun fact - painting all of Medusa's tattoos takes a lot longer than you think it will. Yeaaaa. We had a photoshoot with the super-duper-awesome photoninja first thing in the morning, which occurred shortly after I got frustrated with spirit gum and decided that SUPERGLUING my Medusa fingernails to my fingers was a good idea. Ha. I'm so exciiiiiited to get the pics back. Or rather. The pics where I'm not flashing gang signs everywhere back.

From there we sprinted to craftmanship judging and masquerade rehearsal and stuffs. Finally met up with at the Soul Eater gathering. <3 From there, Elke, Baron, and I grabbed an awesome Black*Star, Stein, and Shinigami to go outside to take MOAR CRACK PHOTOS. Lessons learned - Soul Eater = YMCA and TTGL. umyesplz.

ALSO. IT TOOK CONVENTION STAFF ALL DAY TO FINALLY YELL AT ME TO PUT SOME SHOES ON. AHAHHAHAHAHA. Yea. It was cold.

zomg masquerade was really fun and there were SO MANY AWESOME SKITS. And Baru-kitteh and I ended up taking home Best Journeyman Craftmanship. Which we were totally not expecting. ah;hga;fdj;lakjf;av *_____________* Because while we did spend a lot of time on the craftmanship and accuracy of the costumes, they are definately not omgwtfawesomeshiny costumes (as Baru so succinctly put it). And I also got the "most accurate" judge's award for my Medusaaaa-samaaaaa. And of course, our lovely rocked out with her "sexy cosplayer award". Because her Maka and scythe are made of pure win. <33

After the masquerade, we all ran up to the room again to change. Baru and I made Hikaru and Kaoru's waiter outfits from episode 25 of Ouran High Host Club to go to the Valentine's day ball in. However, then line was super long, so we vetoed that idea and just walked around for a bit before passing out while watching Man vs Wild with Gwiffen and burloire.

Sunday
Not a whole lot happened besides crazy security shenenagins trying to pack up the car. Baru and I ran around in our Hikaru/Kaoru outfits and got to see Caitlin Glass again. <33 She must think we're stalking her or something, but she is so much fun and really nice! And she wanted a picture with us! YAAYAYAYYAYAY! Right before we left, we met up with burloire, Gwiffen, and photoninja and did more crotch crack photos. OMG I LUV U GUUUUYZ.
